My Workspace... Baking with Snails!

Don't you just love a fresh-from-the-oven cupcake? Frosting... sprinkles maybe... candy... or perhaps a nice wet garden snail on top?

Well this is the kind of baking 'Myrtle the Witch' does (character in my in-progress short film). These 1:12 scale snail cupcakes will be available at the Tom Bishop Miniature Fair and definitely at my online store as well (in time for Hallowe'en)!

My Workspace... Making More Magic!

Enchanted pumpkins and gourds, and Phoenix Ashes... tip of the iceberg! Made so much new stock. Hope I'll have time to share and list before I make it to the Tom Bishop fair!

Take a look at the new stock being made over at Hummingbird as well. :)

My Workspace... Bottled Magic

Still working hard getting ready for the Tom Bishop Miniature Fair.... argh - still have so much to do!

Making 60 bottles of magic and thought it might be fun to share some snaps of them partially finished. They've got their aged labels and now need to be filled with magic matter. Takes about 30 mins to do each one as each one gets a 100% silk or cotton checkered cap over a lid and is tied with silk thread... bit time consuming! I'm sure I'll be up late and will get them finished by tomorrow afternoon.

I've got some Phoenix Ashes already done... will start sharing photos of finished items soon. :)

Finished jars of magic. They're so much tinier than they look. All hand-blown glass (no large chunky manufactured bottles from China).

My Workspace... Poison bottles...

Getting ready for the Tom Bishop Miniature Fair which is later this month (30th July) in Anaheim... been so busy all day! I've made dozens and dozens of little poison bottles and thought I'd share some snaps with you. I've also started making another 100 'old dripping candles' since they always seem to be really popular and I've had people requesting them through my store lately.

Poison Bottles
(a new design) - these ones are finished and ready for the fair!

Unfinished photos of poison bottles in the making and finished bottles on my iPhone to show you the scale! Click on a thumbnail for a close up.
